WEDDING RECEPTION

June 30th, 2003

Well, well, well. It's a bright and beautiful sunny day in Vancouver, and thank goodness it's not that hot today!
I am chronically sleep-deprived so I got up and then promptly went back to sleep only to awake a mere 45 mins before work! Needless to say, I rushed into work for our first (8am!!) patient in the clinic!

Why am I so tired? gosh, it's crazy! Got off work at 12:30pm and went to the gym for my workout, then went back home to finish preparing for my cousin's wedding reception which I'm MCing. I'm still in my gym clothes now as I sit here typing. I'm going to take a shower, go buy some more props for the reception and fly down to Swan-E-Set, where the reception will be. Fun Fun Fun.

So now that my older brother and cousin are both married, I"m 'next-in-line' on my maternal side. Ai-YAH! lol The next oldest after me is my little brother, Paulman, who is 7 years younger and darn it, he almost caught up to me in school, but i'd sure like to beat him clear and wide on the wedding thing! ;0)

Not that it's my choice...anyway, now i'm sounding all sappy...how did this start?
Crazy! oh, and now Paulman's back from work, i better get off his computer!

love you guys so much!
write back!

PDA FeVer!

Hey everyone!

thanks amanda and jason for your comments! my very 2 first comments! very cool! i miss you guys too!!!

Well, my past week was just fabulous...i'm learning sooooooo much and i'm having a tonne of fun. I have a great teacher for my supervising doc! I got to 'poke' someone for the very first (then 2nd, ...3rd) time!

My latest and most favourite new toy is my new used PDA!! (thanks claudia and cyn!) I managed to download a few freeware medical pda software and wow, i'm so fascinated! now i can look things up pronto!

Being back with family and friends here in BC is fantastic! (truthfully, going much better than I thought!..i mean the staying with my family part...phew! PTL!) Got a chance to play with the worship band on sat in Willingdon Church, which was really special.

But you know what? i must confess...coming back to Vancouver has been abit strange...i look around and 'take it all in' and keep thinking: "okay, this is all very familiar, but this isn't home" ??!?!?!! Wow, i guess Hamilton has become home for me to a much deeper extent than I had realised...so needless to say, i miss all of you back in the Hammer.

now, back to studying and prep for tommorrow!
love,
shermeen

Back in Vancouer!

ALRIGHT, Folks,

I'm now back in Vancouver, BC and the heat wave continues to follow me...argh!!! I've never had to wear so many tanktops in my life! hee hee

I had a fabulous weekend spending it with my family and relatives and eating about 4X as much Chinese food as I've had over 6 months in Hamilton...;0)

I start my family medicine elective this afternoon...can't wait...well really, i can...i'm abit nervous, but I"m sure it'll be an awesome learning experience with a great doc!

Right now, i'm trying to find the most plausible way to work-out. I'm having 'working-out withdrawal!'..i was sick for half of last week and so that makes 5 consecutive days of 'rest'...i can't take this anymore!!

Great to see everyone at Willingdon, by the way...you guys rock!
love, shermeen

Whoa, this is COOL!

Hey guys...guess what?

I'm moving up in the hi-tech world!! ahhahhhaha...yah right!

just trying new ways to make things easier to communicate....from mass emails, to this...hopefully this will work better, especially in areas where it's sometimes hard to get enough time on internet to send my emails to my (many) email lists..

love lots!
